Congratulations to the winners of our Autumn Photography Competition 2024

Thank you so much to all those entering our annual photography competition. There were two themes this year – People of Sussex and Hidden Sussex.

Once again, the standard of entries was exceptionally high. This made the judging process a real challenge and we were sorry we couldn’t award more prizes.

Eventually, after a close-run finish we awarded first prize in the Adult category to Benny Coxhill for his photograph I Can See for Miles. As a representation of People of Sussex and as an outstanding photograph, we thought his image was a worthy winner.

Second prize went to Clive Trusler for his hidden apple which we enjoyed for its technical prowess, colour, light and general composition.

Third prize went to Margaret Sweatman for her photograph taken on 5th November in Lewes before the bonfire celebrations. We enjoyed the feel good element of this image portraying a Person of Sussex.

Winner of the Junior category for capturing this intimate moment of hidden nature was Felix Parkinson. We loved the sharpness and colours of this photograph.
