Congratulations to Jo Roberts Our 3rd Community Champion

We are delighted to announce our 3rd Community Champion in recognition of their actions and help in the community during the Covid Pandemic. Jo Roberts was nominated by Amie Cheverst who set up an emergency food hub to help those in need in their local community.

Amie commented “Jo volunteered to help me set up an emergency food hub during the pandemic, and I just couldn’t have done it without her.

Since then she has been running the day to day of the emergency food hub, making sure families and individuals in desperate need get emergency food.

Most of our emergency food requests have also been out of hours or at weekends, and Jo has selflessly made sure these are fulfilled and in most cases personally delivered the boxes throughout mid-Sussex.”

Jo has received a £50 voucher for Plaza Uno Spanish Restaurant in Burgess Hill. Tisshaws purchased vouchers from local businesses so they can support local firms while thanking their Community Champions.
