We’re both proud and delighted to announce that our wonderful director, Gilva Tisshaw, has been shortlisted for a prestigious Resolution Award. The Award celebrates the achievements of family justice professionals who have supported families and children during a global pandemic.
Gilva is shortlisted in the Resilience category for going above and beyond to support staff and clients through the challenges of the pandemic.
She said, “I am delighted to be shortlisted for the Resilience Award and to be recognised by both my peers and Resolution. I am proud to be a member of Resolution and champion its Code of Practice in my work, which promotes a constructive and non-confrontational approach to family issues such as divorce, separation and child arrangements.”
As part of Tisshaws commitment to non-confrontational approaches in resolving disputes arising from family breakdown, we offer mediation, collaborative law and arbitration. These can all be used to prevent the cost, time and stress of resolving disputes of going to court. Both Richard and Hana are qualified mediators, while Gilva, Camilla, Richard and Verity are all qualified collaborative lawyers.
Juliet Harvey, National Chair of Resolution, said, “With so many high-quality, well-argued and convincing entries, the judges had an extremely difficult job whittling down the nominees to a shortlist. Gilva should be very proud to be recognised for her work in this way, and I wish her the best of luck for the Awards ceremony which will take place on 22 October as part of our showpiece Family Practice Conference.”
Winners of the 2021 Resolution Awards will be announced at a ceremony on the final day of the upcoming Family Practice Conference (19-22 October). We’re keeping our fingers crossed for Gilva.
